Field Application Specialist (Mass Spectrometry)

What you will do

• Provide applications, technical, and product expertise throughout pre-sales and post-sales activities.
• Accompany sales representatives on customer visits and conduct product demonstrations.
• Support instrument installations through onsite training covering instruments, software, reagents, and consumables.
• Deliver customer, prospect, and employee seminars, as well as startup applications training.
• Train sales representatives and SCIEX staff on applications, installation, and instrument operation.
• Identify customer applications, gather market information, and support their development and commercialization on SCIEX systems.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in Mass Spectrometry, Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or equivalent experience.
• Strong laboratory and scientific background in analytical chemistry using LC/MS/MS, with 3–5 years of laboratory experience or a PhD plus 1–2 years of postdoctoral experience.
• Experience operating LC/MS systems or related instrumentation.
• Strong knowledge of the industry, customer applications, and customer needs.
• Technical presentation, communication, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate with sales and technical support personnel.
