Application Technician (Fragrance)

Location: Shanghai IBP, China; on-site

What you will do

• Prepare fragrance prototypes and samples for application projects.
• Support perfumers, application scientists, and technical teams with laboratory and application testing.
• Prepare and evaluate fragrance applications in fabric care, home care, personal care, and air care products.
• Record experimental data, observations, and test results according to company procedures.
• Maintain laboratory supplies, raw materials, sample inventories, and equipment.
• Support data collection, analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement while following laboratory, quality, safety, and environmental policies.

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of laboratory practices and experimental procedures.
• Strong attention to detail when preparing samples and documenting results.
• Organizational, time management, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Basic data analysis and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with the ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment and follow standard operating procedures.

Nice to have

• Experience in fragrance, flavors, consumer goods, personal care, home care, or related industries.
• Experience supporting application development, product testing, or laboratory operations.
• Knowledge of fragrance evaluation, sensory testing, or consumer product formulation.
