Applications Engineer (Mining Technology Solutions)

Location: Hybrid position in Milton, Queensland, Australia. Travel requirements are less than 15%.

What you will do

• Provide technical customer support using software updates, testing, and QA methods.
• Diagnose root causes, troubleshoot issues, and complete repairs within SLA timeframes.
• Connect to customer sites to verify and reproduce problems and resolve system issues by telephone and other support channels.
• Open and manage support tickets when issues require action, code changes, or more than 30 minutes of support time.
• Identify customer customization needs, including reports, and document product functionality clearly.
• Support customer services colleagues, collaborate across business units, maintain compliance with customer and legislative requirements, and reinforce safety standards.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in IT or a related field.
• Advanced computer skills and knowledge of computing languages such as C, C++, SQL, or scripting languages.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide customer support within defined service timeframes.
• Knowledge of mining operations is preferred.
