Senior Staff Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote in Brazil

What you will do

• Define long-term technical strategy and architectural direction across multiple Enterprise engineering domains.
• Design, prototype, and guide scalable, secure, resilient, and fault-tolerant software systems.
• Lead complex technical initiatives from discovery through delivery and align architecture with measurable business outcomes.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Design, and business leaders on technical roadmaps and investment recommendations.
• Identify architectural, performance, and reliability risks and develop durable solutions for platform health.
• Mentor senior engineers and establish engineering standards, architectural patterns, quality expectations, and AI-assisted development practices.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including architecture and technical leadership for complex production systems.
• Deep expertise in software architecture, distributed systems, microservices, system design, data modeling, APIs, and cloud-native development.
• Experience building and operating high-throughput, scalable, secure, reliable, and fault-tolerant applications.
• Strong experience with AWS or GCP, databases, service-oriented architectures, containers, observability, automated testing, CI, and CD.
• Experience influencing technical strategy across multiple engineering teams and evaluating trade-offs involving performance, reliability, security, cost, scalability, and maintainability.
• Experience with B2B SaaS, vertical SaaS, or comparable platforms, plus a bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

• Experience supporting the transition from small and medium-sized business use cases to Enterprise-scale requirements.
• Experience setting AI-assisted development strategy, practices, and guardrails across teams.
