Delivery Consultant, Nutanix Migration

Location: Remote; candidates can be anywhere in the USA or Canada. Department location: Brentwood, Tennessee.

What you will do

• Lead discovery and assessment of enterprise vSphere environments, including VM inventories, dependencies, networking, storage, guest operating systems, and application constraints.
• Design migration wave plans with application dependency grouping, maintenance windows, rollback criteria, and success criteria.
• Deploy and operate Nutanix Move at scale, managing seeding, delta synchronization, cutover scheduling, and throughput tuning.
• Remediate non-eligible VMs and define alternate migration paths for unsupported guest operating systems, RDMs, shared disks, VMware Tools issues, and snapshots.
• Coordinate application cutovers, post-migration validation, issue triage, and guest-level remediation such as VirtIO drivers, VMware Tools removal, NGT installation, IP/MAC retention, and license re-validation.
• Produce operational runbooks, as-built documentation, knowledge transfer, and weekly migration progress and risk reports.

Requirements

• 5+ years of enterprise virtualization experience, including 3+ years working hands-on with Nutanix AHV, Prism Element, and Prism Central.
• Experience leading at least one VMware-to-Nutanix migration of 500+ VMs using Nutanix Move.
• Strong knowledge of vSphere, including ESXi, vCenter, vDS, and vSAN or SAN-backed storage.
• Experience with Nutanix external storage, third-party arrays, and Fibre Channel or iSCSI SAN connectivity.
• Experience remediating Windows and Linux guest operating systems and communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Nutanix Certified Professional – Multicloud Infrastructure (NCP-MCI) or higher.

Nice to have

• Experience with Pure Storage FlashArray, HPE Synergy, Nutanix Flow, Prism Central automation, or migration tooling.
• PowerShell, Python, or REST API scripting experience.
• Nutanix Certified Master or NCX certification.
• Previous consulting or services-delivery experience.
