Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (React Native)

Location: Remote from Mexico; candidates must be located in Mexico and authorized to work there

What you will do

• Execute manual, exploratory, web, and mobile testing across release cycles.
• Debug React Native applications on real iOS and Android devices, simulators, and emulators using developer tools, device logs, crash logs, and network inspection.
• Test REST APIs, authentication, authorization, role-based access, service-to-service integrations, data pipelines, retries, idempotency, and edge cases.
• Use Datadog to investigate issues, distinguish client-side from server-side failures, and provide evidence in actionable bug reports.
• Build and maintain regression suites, release checklists, and automated coverage.
• Partner with engineering, product, and design to communicate coverage, defects, risks, blockers, and release readiness.

Requirements

• Senior-level quality assurance experience with browser developer tools and hands-on React Native application debugging.
• Experience designing and building automated test suites with Playwright for web and Maestro for mobile.
• API testing experience with Postman or comparable tools, including Java/Spring Boot REST APIs and a Node BFF.
• Basic SQL with Postgres and comfort reading structured application logs.
• Experience with Datadog or comparable observability tooling for logs, dashboards, and error tracking.
• Must be located in Mexico and authorized to work in Mexico.

Nice to have

• TypeScript and React knowledge, including Next.js and React Native codebases.
• Experience with Jest, Testing Library, feature flags, experimentation, analytics, or mobile crash reporting.
• Familiarity with Jira, accessibility and performance testing, or load testing tools such as Gatling and Artillery.
• Understanding of TestFlight, Play internal testing, and over-the-air mobile updates.
