Senior V&V Engineer - Platform Automation Systems (Defence)

Location: Adelaide, Australia, with regular work at the customer site in Osborne, South Australia

What you will do

• Lead verification and validation activities for complex software and platform automation systems.
• Develop and maintain verification strategies, plans, acceptance test procedures, reports, and traceability matrices.
• Manage requirements verification records, test evidence, and objective quality evidence.
• Plan verification schedules and coordinate resources, equipment, and test environments.
• Lead formal test activities as Lead Tester or Test Director and support readiness reviews and configuration audits.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, resolve verification issues, and work with customers and stakeholders toward system acceptance.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software systems testing, verification, and validation.
• Experience developing and executing structured Verification & Validation programs.
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering and requirements verification methodologies.
• Experience creating test procedures, verification plans, traceability matrices, and formal test reports.
• Strong planning, scheduling, stakeholder engagement, and customer collaboration skills.
• Current Australian Defence Security Clearance NV1 minimum, eligibility to work in Defence and export-controlled environments, and ability to regularly work at the Osborne customer site are required.

• Experience in maritime, naval, or submarine environments.
• Knowledge of Defence verification, acceptance, and assurance frameworks.
• Experience with complex control, monitoring, or automation systems.
