Senior Engineer, System Software

Develops Hivemind Vision and Mission Autonomy solutions for customer programs and internal R&D initiatives.

What you will do

• Capture end-to-end system requirements for Hivemind Vision Systems and integrated autonomy solutions.
• Support system architecture design across perception, autonomy, and mission-level workflows.
• Document and extend architecture models using MBSE tools, UML, SysML, and/or UPDM.
• Create SysML models covering system decomposition, functional flows, interfaces, and system behavior.
• Collaborate with subject-matter experts to improve tooling, automation, and connections between system models and codebases.
• Coordinate with product, program, engineering, and business development teams while reporting status, risks, and accomplishments to leadership.

Requirements

• 7+ years of systems engineering or related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years with a Master’s degree, 2+ years with a PhD, or equivalent practical experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field such as systems, software, aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
• Experience writing, structuring, and verifying requirements, as well as working with MBSE and system-modeling workflows.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, assembly diagrams, parts lists, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an organized and methodical approach to technical information.
• Eligibility to obtain an Australian NV1 Secret clearance and ability to handle ITAR-controlled and Australian export-controlled technical data.

Nice to have

• Expertise with Cameo Systems Modeler, Cameo APIs, and Velocity Template Language.
• Experience decomposing requirements and designs for complex hardware/software systems.
• Experience with autonomy, aircraft systems, perception, unmanned vehicles, or robotic platforms.
