Senior Financial Accountant

A global professional services organization supporting financial operations across London and international shared service offices.

What you will do

• Prepare monthly management accounts for the London office and incorporate non-UK office trial balances and cash books into consolidated accounts.
• Process journals and accounting adjustments, review balance sheet control accounts, prepare forecasts, and investigate errors and variances.
• Support quarterly group management accounts, IFRS financial statements, subsidiary statutory accounts, audits, statutory returns, and supplier payments.
• Prepare and analyze global functional reports for senior management and explain financial results to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Support annual budgets for London departments, international offices, and global operations, including budget-system testing and accountant training.
• Review work, mentor junior accountants, and contribute to finance projects, workflow automation, and process improvements.

Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent and a Bachelor of Commerce, Business Science, Accounting, or equivalent qualification.
• At least five years of operational financial accounting experience and one to two years of operational supervisory experience.
• Required: Power BI, strong Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, financial analysis, data troubleshooting, and reporting experience.
• Knowledge of IFRS, regulatory compliance, audit coordination, multi-currency accounting, and financial legislation.
• Strong accuracy, attention to detail, communication, organizational, analytical, and independent-working skills.
• Applicants must have a clear criminal record and be South African citizens.

Nice to have

• Honours degree, CIMA or SAIPA qualification, and completed articles.
• Experience with 3E, OneStream, Chrome River, or Emburse Enterprise.
