TL;DR
Forward Deployed AI Engineer (AI/ML, RAG, Agentic Systems): Building and deploying full-stack AI/ML applications for strategic enterprise customers with an accent on foundation models, context engineering, semantic search, and scalable solution architecture. Focus on moving prototypes toward production, designing LLMOps/MLOps practices, and codifying repeatable architectures for secure enterprise deployments.
Location: Costa Rica, remote with in-person customer engagement and occasional travel of up to 20%

What you will do
- Build and prototype full-stack AI/ML applications and agentic systems on .
- Partner directly with strategic customer teams to move AI use cases from early prototypes toward production readiness.
- Advise technical and executive stakeholders on AI roadmaps, solution design, deployment, and enterprise use cases.
- Develop scalable AI architectures aligned with security, governance, and compliance standards.
- Codify successful approaches into reference architectures, productized solutions, starter kits, and internal playbooks.
- Mentor teams, support internal enablement, and share customer feedback with Product teams.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience building and deploying production-grade systems, including 2–4 years with ML systems or GenAI/agentic applications.
- Strong software engineering, data engineering, and applied AI/ML skills with experience building full-stack ML applications or agentic systems.
- Experience with foundation models, context engineering, fine-tuning, semantic search, RAG, and agentic workflows.
- Deep knowledge of LLMOps/MLOps, including evaluation, observability, serving, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
- Experience designing scalable enterprise AI architectures and engaging technical and executive customer audiences.
- BSc, MSc, PhD in a related field, or equivalent experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience using the platform.
- Experience with Spark, Iceberg, NiFi, or other open-source big data technologies.
- Experience with NVIDIA GPUs, inference optimization, model serving, or distributed AI workloads.
