DNA Synthesis Technician I/II

What you will do

• Schedule, operate, and maintain proprietary DNA/RNA oligonucleotide synthesizers and commercial platforms including CFS, MerMade, and Biolytic.
• Perform downstream oligo processing such as pre-treatment and deprotection.
• Learn basic troubleshooting and perform minor repairs on oligo synthesizers.
• Use the proprietary LIMS for order tracking, daily work, and documentation.
• Maintain batch records, logs, checklists, and production documentation in accordance with the Quality System.
• Follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, hazardous-material handling rules, and cleanliness standards in a high-throughput production environment.

Requirements

• Minimum AA degree or equivalent; a BS in a science field is preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-throughput production environment.
• Willingness to learn basic equipment troubleshooting and minor repairs.
• Ability to lift 35 or more pounds.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Excel.

Nice to have

• Experience in an ISO 13485 or cGMP environment.
• Experience using a LIMS or similar laboratory data system.
• Experience handling hazardous chemicals.
