Software Engineer

Location: Hybrid position based in the Kansas City, Missouri office; employees must attend the office on a scheduled frequency. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

What you will do

• Support client-facing websites, authenticated web experiences, mobile capabilities, and Sales and Marketing technology integrations.
• Troubleshoot production issues by gathering information, reproducing defects, reviewing logs and monitoring data, and coordinating with engineering, product, vendor, and support partners.
• Validate releases, hotfixes, content changes, configuration updates, deployments, and operational readiness.
• Develop small enhancements, bug fixes, automated tests, and configuration updates for supported digital platforms.
• Monitor application behavior and help improve reliability, performance, accessibility, supportability, and observability.
• Collaborate with product owners, engineers, QA, UX, Marketing, Sales, operations, and support teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, finance, business, or equivalent education and work experience.
• Professional software development, technical support, internship, co-op, or related technology experience.
• Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini, with the ability to evaluate and validate generated output.
• Foundational knowledge of software engineering, debugging, problem solving, application support, and modern web technologies.
• Ability to communicate clearly, document findings, follow established processes, and support production systems during urgent or release-related issues.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Exposure to JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node, Svelte or SvelteKit, HTML, CSS, or related front-end and full-stack technologies.
• Two or more years of software development experience.
• Familiarity with APIs, integrations, authentication, content management systems, analytics tools, or SaaS platforms.
• Experience with Agile or product-oriented delivery models, cross-functional pods, or scrum teams.
