Baker/Breakfast Cook

What you will do

• Prepare and cook breakfast for up to 70 clients.
• Follow menus and maintain consistent food quality, including special dietary requirements.
• Prepare, wrap, date, and organize baked goods according to the production schedule.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain food hygiene standards.
• Clean, wash, and sanitize equipment and work areas.

Requirements

• Interprovincial Red Seal Certification or culinary education leading to Red Seal certification.
• FoodSafe Level I certification is required.
• At least three years of cooking and baking experience in a similar, hotel, or institutional environment.
• Experience preparing baked goods for large numbers of guests.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds.
• Successful completion of the mandatory WHMIS test with a score of at least 80%; drug, alcohol, and fit-to-work testing are required as conditions of employment.

Nice to have

• SafeCheck advanced food safety or HACCP certification.
• Prior supervisory experience.
