Automotive Technician

Location: 001554 Westfield, United States; onsite retail service role

Salary: $19.25–$28.93 per hour with performance-based flat-rate compensation

What you will do

• Change oil and perform scheduled vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems.
• Install batteries and check electrical systems.
• Perform tire maintenance and install replacement parts.
• Road test vehicles and assist with vehicle assessments and repairs.
• Explain repair procedures to customers and provide service support.

Requirements

• Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks and perform automotive maintenance and tire repairs.
• Valid automobile driver’s license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics.
• Must complete Form I-9 employment eligibility verification; temporary work authorization or the need for sponsorship may disqualify applicants.

Nice to have

• Two years of automotive repair experience.
• Completion of a related vocational-technical program or demonstrated technical skills.
• A.S.E. certification or equivalent training credentials.
