Anti-Fraud Operations Manager (TikTok Shop)

Location: San Jose, United States; fully in-person schedule up to 5 days a week

Salary: $147,000–$270,000 annually, plus potential discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop anti-fraud operational analysts while managing workflows, project delivery, and performance metrics.
• Manage BPO and vendor relationships, including performance benchmarks, quality standards, and appeal-handling workflows.
• Oversee deep-dive fraud investigations, escalations, forensic analysis, and identification of emerging threat patterns.
• Lead the adoption of AI and large language model tools for case handling, insight sharing, and threat detection.
• Collaborate with partner teams to build platform guardrails and align operational risk priorities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in anti-fraud, trust and safety, risk operations, or risk analytics in technology or e-commerce, including 4+ years in people management.
• Hands-on SQL experience for data analysis and metric validation; familiarity with Python, R, or automated workflow tools.
• Experience with deep-dive fraud investigations, operational enforcement workflows, and risk insight development.
• Ability to manage projects and align cross-functional stakeholders across time zones and cultural contexts.
• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, business analytics, or a related quantitative or technical field.
• Strong storytelling, communication, ambiguity management, and operational judgment skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with U.S. data security frameworks, compliance standards, and highly regulated environments.
• Experience using AI, LLMs, or automated workflow tools to optimize manual reviews, case auditing, or operational efficiency.
• Experience managing operational risk or fraud in a multi-sided e-commerce marketplace.
