Company

hirify.global is a biotechnology company developing, manufacturing, and delivering medicines for serious illnesses across oncology, inflammation, general medicine, and rare disease.

What you will do

  • Develop explicit and implicit finite element structural models for drug delivery devices and combination products.
  • Apply kinematic, structural, tolerance, and material characterization methods to model device behavior during use, assembly, and transport.
  • Improve the lifecycle management, efficiency, and trustworthiness of in-silico models and computational workstreams.
  • Simulate complaints and real-world product issues to support root cause investigations, design robustness, and complaint reduction.
  • Deliver predictions and technical insights for production and customer problems in a multi-project, cross-functional environment.
  • Own the modeling project backlog, communicate model assumptions and limitations, and mentor other simulation experts.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree; or a master’s degree and 2 years of engineering experience; or a bachelor’s degree and 4 years of engineering experience; or an equivalent combination of education and engineering experience.
  • Experience with finite element modeling using a commercial platform such as SIMULIA, ANSYS, ALTAIR, or COMSOL.
  • Experience with explicit FEM, nonlinear structural models, contact modeling, large deformations, plasticity, and hyperelasticity.
  • Knowledge of statistical and robustness analysis, including modeling variability in processes and device dimensions.
  • Programming experience in Python and/or MATLAB, with scripting or user-subroutine experience for model automation preferred.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts, manage competing priorities, and collaborate across engineering and scientific functions.

Nice to have

  • Experience with combination products, medical device development, design controls, regulatory requirements, and process controls.
  • Experience with Abaqus user subroutines or Tcl/Tk for automating model creation and post-processing.
  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to learn new concepts, algorithms, and technologies rapidly.

Culture & Benefits

  • Collaborative, innovative, and science-based working environment.
  • Health, dental, vision, life, disability, and flexible spending benefits.
  • Retirement and savings plan with company contributions.
  • Annual bonus program and stock-based long-term incentives.
  • Paid time off and career development opportunities.
  • Flexible work models where applicable to the work location type.
