Automotive Technician

Location: 001090 Red Bank, United States; onsite automotive service work

Salary: $20.13–$30.25 per hour, with performance-based flat-rate compensation.

What you will do

• Change oil and perform scheduled vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems.
• Install batteries and check vehicle electrical systems.
• Perform tire maintenance, install parts, and road-test vehicles.
• Assist with vehicle assessments, repair procedures, and customer explanations of automotive services.
• Obtain or maintain at least one A.S.E. certification from A1–A8 within the first two years.

Requirements

• Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks and work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid automobile driver's license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Basic understanding of oil changes, vehicle inspections, and tire repair.
• Reading, writing, and math skills.
• Employment requires completion of Form I-9 verification; temporary work authorization or the need for sponsorship may disqualify candidates.

Nice to have

• Two years of automotive repair experience.
• Completion of a vocational-technical program in a related field.
• A.S.E. certification or equivalent external training or qualifications.
