Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer: Automation - DeltaV

Salary: $136,906.95–$185,227.05 per year

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership for automation engineers supporting GMP drug substance manufacturing operations.
• Develop and maintain Emerson DeltaV distributed control system solutions and integrate automation platforms.
• Translate process requirements into digital automation solutions in collaboration with process subject matter experts and business partners.
• Deliver documentation, data integrity assessments, computerized systems validation, and GxP-compliant processes.
• Support commissioning, qualification, automation installation verification, and automation checkout for the new manufacturing facility.
• Lead change controls, CAPAs, deviations, troubleshooting, root-cause investigations, maintenance, and 24/7 onsite or on-call operational support.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of engineering experience, an Associate’s Degree with 8 years, a Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years, a Master’s Degree with 2 years, or a Doctorate Degree.
• Experience designing, programming, installing, troubleshooting, and managing the lifecycle of manufacturing process control and automation systems.
• Experience with Emerson DeltaV DCS, process control networks, network segregation, virtual infrastructure, and system integration using OPC, Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus, and DeviceNet.
• Knowledge of GMP, GAMP, 21 CFR Part 11, ASTM 2500, S88, S95, and documentation in regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience with capital project lifecycle management, validation documentation, new product introductions, and new technology deployment.
• Strong leadership, technical writing, communication, presentation, mentoring, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with DeltaV Live.
• Direct experience automating GMP biopharmaceutical drug substance production equipment and clean utilities.
