Expediting Specialist

Location: Houston, Texas, United States; coordination with project resource centers in Tianjin, China, and the construction site in Angola.

hirify.global provides project management services across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning for the Lobito Refinery Project in Angola.

What you will do

• Oversee EPC contractor expediting activities for major equipment, minor equipment, and bulk materials.
• Monitor purchase orders, supplier deliverables, delivery schedules, material control, logistics, quality assurance, and procurement compliance.
• Coordinate supplier documents and drawings with engineering teams using IPMS and Documentum.
• Identify procurement and delivery schedule risks and coordinate mitigation with project management, project controls, engineering, construction, and suppliers.
• Support construction teams with overages, shortages, damaged materials, quarantined equipment, and material receipt issues.
• Verify milestone completion and supplier invoices, maintain project records, and guide assigned expediting personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 7+ years of directly related progressive experience, or 15+ years in lieu of formal education.
• Fluent Chinese and English required.
• Experience coordinating with international project teams and procurement resource centers.
• Ability to manage supplier documentation, delivery schedules, material records, and project reporting.
