Staff Manufacturing Engineer (MedTech): Developing and optimizing manufacturing processes and equipment for medical devices with an accent on process excellence, product yield, equipment reliability, and regulatory compliance. Focus on leading complex engineering projects, executing FAT/IQ/OQ/PQ validation strategies, resolving non-conformances, and coordinating cross-functional improvements.

Location: Anasco, Puerto Rico, United States of America; fully onsite

What you will do

  • Develop process excellence techniques, track trends, and implement equipment and process improvements that increase efficiency, product yield, and equipment reliability.
  • Lead moderately to highly complex engineering projects and programs while meeting safety, regulatory, operational, and business requirements.
  • Provide technical support for manufacturing process deficiencies, changes, optimization, and non-conformance investigations.
  • Set engineering standards, advise on equipment selection, mentor peers, and recommend solutions for balanced line performance.
  • Prepare project estimates, forecasts, schedules, and cost tracking for design, equipment, installation, labor, and materials.
  • Develop and execute validation strategies and collaborate with site functions and other divisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • At least 6 years of experience in a maintenance manufacturing environment, R&D, or process development.
  • Demonstrated project management experience and proficiency with the FAT, IQ, OQ, and PQ validation cycle.
  • Fully bilingual Spanish and English proficiency is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Availability for up to 10% travel and fully onsite attendance in Anasco, Puerto Rico.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Minitab or other data analysis tools.
  • Experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
