Senior IAM Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Salary: $138,000–$173,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and implement IAM architecture across AWS, SaaS applications, infrastructure, and on-premises systems.
• Manage identity lifecycle processes, including provisioning, deprovisioning, access requests, approvals, reviews, and recertification.
• Architect MFA, SSO, identity federation, device access controls, and FIDO2 passwordless authentication.
• Automate identity operations using APIs, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, workflow orchestration, and custom application connectors.
• Build identity monitoring and analytics to detect access anomalies, privilege escalation, and unauthorized activity.
• Partner with security, infrastructure, and application teams on RBAC, ABAC, least privilege, compliance, and AI agent governance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on IAM engineering and implementation experience across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
• Experience with AWS IAM, Azure AD/Entra ID, Okta, LDAP/Active Directory, SaaS applications, GitHub, and Atlassian.
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, SAML, OIDC, MFA, SSO, identity federation, RBAC, and ABAC.
• Programming or scripting experience with Python, Bash, Go, or similar, including API integrations and workflow automation.
• Experience with identity governance, access reviews, segregation of duties, continuous monitoring, Terraform, infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of NIST, Zero Trust, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, GLI-GSF, and related identity security requirements.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
• CISSP, CISM, Okta, AWS, Azure, or other recognized IAM certifications.
• Consulting experience or senior IAM experience in regulated industries.
