Head of Production (Flexible Packaging)

What you will do

• Oversee production scheduling, delivery priorities, resource allocation, and department performance.
• Manage the production budget and analyze productivity, processing costs, and overall equipment effectiveness.
• Lead the operation and preventive and predictive maintenance of complex machinery to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate supervisors, shift leaders, and production line operators, including shift management, technical development, and HSE training.
• Work with Quality Assurance to ensure semi-finished and finished products comply with ISO standards and Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Implement Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, setup time, ink consumption, and material scrap while improving yield.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in production management within flexible packaging or converting companies.
• Preferred educational background: high school diploma.
• Knowledge of English is required.
• Knowledge of fine production scheduling, flexographic printing, and rotary blade cutting technologies.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen events, and problem-solving methodologies.
• Leadership, analytical, communication, autonomy, stress management, computer, ERP, quality management, environmental, and workplace safety skills.
