Senior Data Quality Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Define and maintain data quality, observability, monitoring, control, and SLA requirements.
• Build dashboards, alerts, and automated checks for anomalies, data drift, duplicates, missing data, and delays.
• Own data incidents from detection and triage through root cause analysis, remediation, and preventive actions.
• Analyze data pipelines across ingestion, transfer, processing, transformation, storage, and consumption.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, analysts, and other teams to improve data reliability and operational processes.
• Document quality requirements, monitoring approaches, incident processes, investigations, and prevention measures.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DataOps, data quality, data engineering, data analytics, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of data quality dimensions, data observability, monitoring, quality assurance, test design, validation, and edge-case analysis.
• Experience with data incident management, including triage, investigation, root cause analysis, remediation, and prevention.
• Understanding of ETL, batch, and streaming data pipelines, plus high comfort with Linux, terminal tools, and log analysis.
• Working knowledge of JSON/YAML, Git/GitHub, CI/CD, SDLC concepts, Python, Bash, and regular expressions.
• B2+ English proficiency with strong technical reading and written communication skills; practical understanding of financial data and markets.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka, data observability tools, data catalogs, metadata management, or OpenMetadata.
• Understanding of dbt and experience building data quality frameworks or automated validation systems.
• Familiarity with AI tools, AI-assisted engineering workflows, hirify.global, or similar financial-market products.
