Software Engineer (ClickPipes - Database Integrations)

Location: Remote in any country where ClickHouse has a hiring presence

Salary: $147,000–$215,000 USD annually for general US locations; $167,000–$238,000 USD annually for premium US locations. Equity is offered.

What you will do

• Build high-throughput integrations with Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, Iceberg, Delta Lake, BigQuery, and Snowflake.
• Design real-time replication systems that handle schema evolution, database upgrades, failovers, large transactions, and data-type compatibility.
• Improve reliability and observability using runtime diagnostics, metrics, logging, and tracing.
• Develop infrastructure and operational tools, write public and internal documentation, and participate in the on-call rotation.
• Work with customers and internal teams to identify integration requirements, lead technical discussions, and influence product roadmaps.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience building data-intensive software solutions.
• Proficiency in Go or systems programming experience with the ability to ramp up quickly in Go.
• Experience deploying and operating cloud-native services on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Practical Kubernetes experience.
• Strong problem-solving, production debugging, written communication, and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with database replication technologies such as CDC and logical replication.
• Experience with durable execution frameworks such as Temporal.
• Experience with Avro, Parquet, Protobuf, Kafka, Spark, or Flink.
• Experience maintaining or contributing to open-source software.
