Database Integrations Engineer

Location: Remote from any country where ClickHouse has a hiring presence

ClickHouse is a rapidly scaling software company building ClickHouse, a high-performance analytical database, and related data infrastructure.

What you will do

• Build high-throughput, real-time data integrations between ClickHouse and databases such as Postgres, MySQL, and MongoDB.
• Design integrations with data lakes and warehouses, including Iceberg, Delta Lake, BigQuery, and Snowflake.
• Solve database internals, schema evolution, data type compatibility, failover, large transaction, and unpredictable-load challenges.
• Own end-to-end reliability through production debugging, observability, infrastructure improvements, and incident response.
• Work with customers and internal teams to identify integration requirements and influence product roadmaps.
• Write documentation, participate in on-call rotation, and contribute to PeerDB and other open-source projects.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience building data-intensive software solutions.
• Proficiency in Go or systems programming experience with the ability to ramp up quickly in Go.
• Experience deploying and operating cloud-native services on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Practical Kubernetes experience.
• Strong problem-solving, production debugging, written communication, and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with database replication technologies, including CDC and logical replication.
• Experience with durable execution frameworks such as Temporal.
• Experience with Avro, Parquet, Protobuf, Kafka, Spark, or Flink.
• Experience maintaining or contributing to open-source software.
