Sr. Portfolio Manager (m/w/d) (Energy Storage)

Location: Germany, with locations in Berlin or Erlangen; remote work is also listed. The role includes 20–30% travel within Germany and on-site commissioning coordination.

What you will do

• Lead a team of Project Managers, including resource planning and team development.
• Manage an international portfolio of battery storage projects, particularly in Germany, ensuring compliance with scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements.
• Plan and coordinate portfolio activities, project milestones, customer requirements, supplier specifications, and project adjustments.
• Build stakeholder relationships and provide daily project updates, weekly customer reports, and monthly Board reports.
• Manage claims and project-related risks while coordinating on-site commissioning with site management.
• Ensure compliance with project management standards, business codes, and Environmental, Health and Safety guidelines.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of Project Management experience in plant engineering or EPC, preferably in energy or grid solutions, wind energy, or renewables.
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience handling demanding customers and working with all levels of management.
• Experience in personnel management and connecting technical and commercial perspectives with schedule and budget requirements.
• German at native-speaker or C1 level and professional English proficiency.
• Willingness to travel 20–30% within Germany.
