Location: London Broadcasting House, United Kingdom; office attendance required 5 days a week

Salary: £28,000–£37,000 per year, plus a London Weighting allowance of £5,441

What you will do

• Research, write, translate, edit, and adapt original Kyrgyz-language news and current affairs content for television, websites, and social media.
• Present programmes and digital content, moderate live streams, and conduct interviews in Kyrgyz and English.
• Create engaging digital and social storytelling tailored to audience interests, including women and young people.
• Use mobile filming, production, and editing tools while adapting to new technologies and workflows.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contributors, provide insight on Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia, and produce analytical pieces.

Requirements

• Full command of spoken and written Kyrgyz as a first or equivalent language.
• Advanced English with the ability to communicate effectively in professional settings.
• Strong knowledge of Kyrgyz, Central Asian, and international affairs, together with an understanding of Kyrgyz audience interests.
• Experience in digital journalism and social media, including awareness of emerging trends and challenges.
• Ability to deliver accurate, impartial, and editorially sound journalism across multiple platforms.
