Principal Applications Engineer (Gas Turbines)

Location: Prague, Czech Republic; onsite five days per week. Frequent travel to customer sites and supplier facilities throughout Europe and the EAME region is required.

Base minimum pay: Kč1,360,056.00 per year.

What you will do

• Develop technical and commercial proposals for new gas turbine packages and complete power plant solutions.
• Review customer specifications, prepare technical comments and exceptions, and manage proposal requirements.
• Select suitable products and services, including supporting equipment such as heat recovery steam generators, gas compressors, switchgear, transformers, drying systems, and compressed air systems.
• Coordinate engineering teams, company departments, suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve complex technical and commercial issues.
• Manage solution cost build-ups, technical and commercial risks, customer negotiations, and handovers to project execution teams.
• Travel to customer sites and supplier facilities for inspections, meetings, and technical support.

Requirements

• University degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience with industrial rotating equipment; gas turbine experience is preferred.
• Understanding of industry norms and requirements for gas turbine compression and power generation applications.
• Fluent English, written and spoken, is required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness and flexibility to travel frequently is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Spanish, French, or German.
• Experience with Salesforce.
