Solution Architect (Power & Utilities)

Location: Hybrid in Zurich or Barcelona; significant customer travel of 30–40% or more is expected.

What you will do

• Architect tailored Power & Utilities solutions combining autonomous robots, inspection payloads, data insights, and customer systems.
• Define high-impact use cases, business models, contractual frameworks, and quantitative ROI cases for autonomous inspection.
• Lead customer discovery, value engineering workshops, and executive-level engagements for complex strategic deals.
• Create sales enablement materials including vertical positioning, use-case catalogues, reference architectures, competitive intelligence, and training.
• Represent the technology with software, engineering, and service partners, at industry events, and in analyst engagements.
• Feed industry insights into product marketing, product management, and R&D roadmaps while mentoring internal teams.

Requirements

• At least 15 years of hands-on experience in Maintenance or Reliability Engineering, including strong Asset Performance Management experience.
• Industry background in Power & Utilities or other asset-intensive sectors such as Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Metals, or high-volume Manufacturing.
• Understanding of robotics, IoT, DCS/SCADA, CMMS, APM, and their integration into complex industrial workflows.
• Experience leading customer discovery, executive conversations, major deals, business cases, pricing models, and technical partnerships.
• Strong written and oral communication, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder influence skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical field.

Nice to have

• Experience as a Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales Engineer, Product Manager, Business Value Consultant, or Reliability Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with APM/EAM platforms such as GE Vernova APM, AVEVA, Bentley, IBM Maximo, SAP PM/IAM, or Hexagon.
• CMRP, CRE, API 510/570/580, or equivalent reliability and integrity certifications.
• Experience deploying automated or robotic inspection programmes in industrial environments.
