Senior Engineer (Unity)

Location: Remote, open to candidates within the UK and Europe

hirify.global develops internally created games and works on successful game franchises with small, multidisciplinary teams.

What you will do

• Own hands-on engineering for games and add-ons, from prototyping through production and release.
• Define and execute the game's technical strategy, roadmap, architecture, and long-term engine decisions.
• Build performant, maintainable systems, tools, workflows, build pipelines, and data pipelines.
• Collaborate with design, art, and production to turn creative concepts into shippable game features.
• Enable designers and artists to iterate independently through practical tools, workflows, and automation.
• Scope, brief, and review external or contractor work so it integrates cleanly into the codebase.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a senior engineer on shipped games.
• Deep experience with Unity and scalable, systemic game architectures.
• Expertise in rapid prototyping, optimization, and live iteration workflows.
• Experience working with existing codebases and delivering full games, downloadable content, or ports.
• A pragmatic approach to technology, with a focus on development speed, stability, and long-term maintainability.
• Ability to work remotely from the UK or Europe.
