Head of Value Analysis & Value Engineering (VAVE) (m/f/d)

What you will do

• Lead value analysis and value engineering initiatives across hirify.global to reduce product cost and complexity without compromising quality, safety, or design.
• Develop and execute cost optimization strategies across product lines while maintaining the company’s premium positioning.
• Partner with R&D, Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Product Management, suppliers, factories, and teams in China to identify and implement value improvement opportunities.
• Support new product development and existing product improvements throughout the product lifecycle.
• Analyze products, components, materials, and manufacturing processes to identify simplification, alternative solutions, and efficiency improvements.
• Build VAVE methodologies, use cost models, value stream mapping, benchmarking, performance metrics, and AI-powered tools, and report savings potential and business impact to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, Business, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Several years of experience in VAVE, Value Engineering, Cost Engineering, product engineering, or a comparable field, ideally in consumer products, automotive, baby gear, or another complex product environment.
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, product development cycles, global sourcing, supplier capabilities, and manufacturing environments.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and converting cost-saving ideas into implemented results.
• Strong analytical, cost modelling, root cause analysis, benchmarking, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with CAD, PLM, ERP, or comparable systems such as SolidWorks and SAP; fluent English, written and verbal, is required.
