2027 Summer Intern: Area Manager, Fleet Transportation Corporate Intern

Location: U.S. field locations, including Fulfillment Centers, Distribution Centers, and Transportation Offices; locations vary based on job profile and business needs.

Salary: $21.00–$40.00 per hour, with the actual rate meeting or exceeding the applicable local minimum wage.

What you will do

• Work with cross-functional teams to solve complex, large-scale supply chain problems.
• Oversee hourly associates and a sub-department within a warehouse environment.
• Lead process improvement and remove operational obstacles for frontline teams.
• Partner in a dynamic environment while applying Walmart’s operational resources.
• Participate in mentorship, leadership development, and an individual summer project.
• Potentially travel as part of the role.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program.
• Expected graduation between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Strong communication, collaboration, organization, problem-solving, and servant leadership skills.
• Experience or understanding of data analytics.
• Experience with Advanced Excel, Tableau, Python, or SQL.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Six Sigma or Lean methodologies.
• Study in supply chain management, transportation and logistics, operations, business, economics, finance, mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
