Materials Project Manager (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Forecast engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements and coordinate demand signals through MRP to control inventory exposure.
• Coordinate product development deliverables through a cross-functional Materials Core Team involving buyers, planners, production control, engineering, and manufacturing.
• Create, release, and update project materials strategies and execute commercialization and materials transition plans.
• Lead supplier selection, RFQs, price and delivery negotiations, supplier risk assessments, and performance monitoring.
• Manage materials change control, cost objectives, total landed cost targets, shortages, and material-related accounting and receiving issues.
• Resolve supplier quality issues and recommend alternate suppliers, solutions, or BOM changes using part specifications and engineering drawings.

Requirements

• Conceptual and practical expertise in the relevant discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
• Knowledge of materials management, procurement, supplier coordination, inventory planning, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to solve complex problems, analyze multiple information sources, and make decisions across Singapore and Austin priorities.
• Ability to build consensus and explain difficult or sensitive information to engineering, quality, manufacturing, planning, and supplier stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
