Associate Scientist, MSAT (Cell & Gene Therapy)

Location: Onsite in Somerset, New Jersey, United States

Salary: $83,711–$104,637 USD base pay annually, plus performance-based bonus and/or equity for eligible roles.

What you will do

• Support cell therapy manufacturing studies through cell culture enrichment, maintenance, and analytical assays.
• Operate automated platforms and instruments used in cell therapy manufacturing workflows.
• Support basic laboratory operations in a GMP-regulated automation laboratory.
• Manage material requests, orders, shipments, and inventory through designated laboratory platforms.
• Coordinate with automation development teams and procurement to maintain material availability.
• Apply GMP compliance standards and aseptic techniques in a Grade B cleanroom environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, biotechnology, or a related life sciences field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in cell therapy manufacturing operations or GMP biologics/cell manufacturing development.
• Experience with CAR-T, stem cell, autologous, or allogeneic therapies is strongly preferred.
• High proficiency in aseptic techniques within a Grade B cleanroom.
• Working knowledge of cold-chain logistics, short-shelf-life material handling, and storage optimization.
• Experience ordering and managing cell therapy manufacturing materials, with familiarity with barcode-enabled, real-time laboratory inventory software and automated reorder workflows.
