Spare Parts Maintenance Technician I (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

Location: Clayton, North Carolina, United States; onsite at a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility

What you will do

• Manage spare-part inventory, movements, receipts, goods issues, and returns using SAP.
• Communicate with vendors and support spare-parts projects and service procedures.
• Inspect incoming materials, perform ABC cycle counts, and investigate inventory discrepancies.
• Pull and stage materials for planned maintenance and return unused stock to proper storage.
• Perform preventive maintenance on parts in storage and optimize storage capacity and retrieval.
• Operate forklifts, hand trucks, and other equipment while following safety and environmental requirements.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Material Management, or a related field plus at least one year of inventory control and warehouse or distribution experience.
• Alternatively, a high school diploma or equivalent plus at least three years of relevant inventory control and warehouse or distribution experience.
• Experience with maintenance and repair, inventory control processes, staging procedures, and material handling.
• Ability to work onsite for shifts of up to 12 hours, move materials weighing up to 33 pounds, and work around noise, hazardous materials, elevated heights, confined spaces, and cold environments.
• Ability to pass a powered industrial truck driving examination; a valid driver's license is not required.

• Experience with the SAP Materials Management module.
