Inventory Specialist

Location: Sumner, WA, United States; onsite warehouse work

Salary: $26.00–$31.00, depending on qualifications and experience

What you will do

• Fill customer orders and prepare products for shipment from the distribution center.
• Perform cycle counts, location maintenance, inventory processing, vendor returns, scrap processing, and exception reporting using RF devices and a warehouse management system.
• Research and reconcile inventory discrepancies, receiving exceptions, shipping issues, customer returns, and damaged materials.
• Receive materials, verify quantities and descriptions against packing lists, and complete shipment paperwork, labels, and customer shipping instructions.
• Monitor inventory levels, communicate product issues to vendor buyers, and load company and common-carrier vehicles.
• Maintain warehouse equipment and perform additional branch duties such as counter sales, order preparation, receiving, stocking, and staging.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of inventory control or high-volume warehouse/distribution center experience preferred.
• Forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment certification preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Customer orientation, communication, organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel, automated order-entry systems, and internet-based tools.
• Ability to perform physical warehouse duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, crouching, and working around noise, temperature changes, electrical hazards, and warehouse equipment.
