Staff Product Designer (Auth0)

Location: Chicago, New York, San Francisco, or Washington, DC in the United States; or Toronto, Canada. The role includes an immersive, in-person onboarding experience.

Salary: $140,000–$193,000 USD annual base salary for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area; equity, bonus, and benefits may also apply.

What you will do

• Design systems that help developers secure AI agents, manage granular permissions, and use emerging identity primitives.
• Prototype rapidly with AI tools and code, exploring multiple directions before refining the strongest solution.
• Work directly in the React and Next.js codebase to refine components and interactions.
• Turn authorization models, SDK patterns, and security flows into clear, precise interfaces.
• Raise the quality bar for design craft and help establish effective design-and-build practices.

Requirements

• 6+ years of product design experience.
• Strong design craft, including typography, spacing, micro-interactions, aesthetics, and polished user experiences.
• Experience prototyping in the browser, shipping side projects, or writing production code.
• Practical AI workflow experience with informed views on where AI tools help and where they fall short.
• Experience designing for developers, including tools, APIs, CLIs, SDKs, and admin dashboards.
• Portfolio link required; include the password if the portfolio is protected.
