Line Servicer (Electrical Distribution)

Location: Columbus, Ohio; must live or be willing to relocate within 45 miles of the Grandview Service Center

What you will do

• Install, maintain, operate, remove, and inspect overhead and underground transmission and distribution facilities.
• Respond to trouble calls by investigating, locating, clearing, and repairing faults on lines and electrical equipment.
• Perform emergency repairs and routine maintenance on energized circuits using hot-line equipment.
• Coordinate complex circuit switching and restoration of service, including station switches, fuses, meters, transformers, and customer services.
• Work with fire departments, police departments, customers, and repair crews to safely resolve service issues.
• Direct the work of employees assigned to assist with field operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of experience as a Line Mechanic A, Lineman A, or equivalent experience, or 480 tracked and verifiable hours stepped up to the Line Servicer role.
• All Lineman A qualifications and successful qualification through demonstration, examination, or performance appraisal.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• Successful completion of a physical abilities assessment.
• Must live or be willing to relocate within 45 miles of the Grandview Service Center in Columbus, Ohio.
