Registered Nurse (Primary Care)

Location: Onsite at a health center in Hanover, Pennsylvania. Scheduled hours are Monday 7:00 AM–1:00 PM, Tuesday 11:00 AM–7:00 PM, Thursday 11:00 AM–4:00 PM, and Friday 8:00 AM–3:00 PM.

What you will do

• Assess patient care needs, conduct nursing evaluations, and provide treatment within the scope of practice.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare practitioners on further evaluation and care.
• Perform and document medical tests, screenings, and treatments, including EKG, audiometry, spirometry, and vision testing.
• Administer medications and emergency care within the legal scope of practice.
• Maintain medical equipment, infection control standards, a safe environment, and accurate patient health records.
• Educate patients on health promotion and participate in follow-up care.

Requirements

• Certificate from an accredited nursing school or an associate degree in nursing is required; a BSN is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice is required.
• Current Basic Life Support certification with hands-on training from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider is required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification may be required depending on the contract scope of services.
• At least three years of Registered Nurse experience in an emergency room, occupational health clinic, or other ambulatory care clinic.

Nice to have

• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing, Emergency Nursing, or Case Management.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification where not otherwise required by the site contract.
