Principal Frontend Engineer

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $250,000–$300,000 per year, with the range varying by US location, experience, education, interview performance, and skills.

What you will do

• Define frontend architecture strategy across product areas and platform investments.
• Lead scalable, performant systems in Angular and React.
• Solve cross-team challenges involving performance, state management, scalability, and developer productivity.
• Partner with backend, integrations, product, design, and engineering leadership on end-to-end architecture.
• Set standards for quality, testing, maintainability, and frontend engineering rigor.
• Provide technical leadership, unblock teams, mentor senior and staff engineers, and influence roadmap decisions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of frontend engineering experience with large-scale web applications.
• Expertise in Angular, React, TypeScript, RxJS, and NgRx or similar state management systems.
• Experience architecting complex frontend systems used by large numbers of users.
• Deep knowledge of performance optimization, frontend scalability, maintainable application design, and reusable component architecture.
• Experience driving technical strategy across multiple teams or product areas, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with testing infrastructure and defining testing strategies for large-scale feature changes.
