Licensed Practical Nurse

Location: Hoover, Alabama, United States. Onsite care is provided at health centers in Hoover, AL. Part-time schedule: Tuesdays 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, Thursdays 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, and every other Saturday 7:00 AM–11:00 AM.

What you will do

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of healthcare providers and within the scope of practice.
• Administer medications, perform wound care, observe treatment reactions, and collect urine, blood, and sputum specimens.
• Document medical care and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient health records.
• Maintain medical equipment and a clean, safe clinical environment.
• Follow infection control procedures and support smooth clinic operations from patient check-in through checkout.

Requirements

• Graduate of a National League for Nursing-accredited program, with an associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Current practical or vocational nursing license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support certification with hands-on training through AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider.
• At least three years of clinical experience as an LPN/LVN in ambulatory care, occupational health, or an emergency department.
