Salary: $45,440–$56,800 annually for Research Technician II; $53,840–$67,300 annually for Research Technician III.

What you will do

• Collect and annotate data from multidimensional microscopy images and experimental videos.
• Perform voxel-level segmentation of 3D microscopy volumes, lightsheet images, 4D cell tracking, and behavioral labeling.
• Review and correct manual and automated annotations and perform quality control on large datasets.
• Prepare datasets, develop annotation protocols, and contribute to documentation and training materials.
• Provide feedback on image quality, software performance, and annotation challenges.
• Communicate biological observations and project updates to managers, researchers, project leads, and support groups.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of experience in cellular biology, neuroscience, or a related field.
• Computer proficiency and the ability to mentally visualize complex three-dimensional structures.
• Strong attention to detail for repetitive annotation, data review, and quality-control work.
• Ability to follow written guidelines, work independently, recognize non-standard cases, and stay organized.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with experience working in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, use a keyboard and other fine motor skills, and work safely around potential laboratory hazards.

Nice to have

• Four or more years of experience in image annotation, segmentation, microscopy, or a closely related area.
• Experience contributing to written protocols or training other team members.
