Principal Data Platform Engineer (AdTech): Building a modern enterprise-scale data platform for immutable event streams, governed canonical models, semantic layers, analytics infrastructure, and AI applications with an accent on high-volume event processing, lakehouse architecture, and data governance. Focus on designing scalable batch and near-real-time pipelines, defining data contracts and regional data boundaries, and optimizing platform reliability, performance, and cost.
Location: Tashkent, Uzbekistan; remote or hybrid work format.

What you will do
- Lead the technical design and architecture of an enterprise-scale data platform for a high-volume AdTech environment.
- Define scalable data flows from Apache Iceberg event storage into analytical and operational data products.
- Design canonical entities and data models across advertising, campaigns, inventory, billing, and customer domains.
- Build reliable, observable batch and near-real-time data pipelines.
- Implement data quality, lineage, observability, reconciliation, data contracts, governance, schema evolution, and versioning standards.
- Optimize scalability, performance, infrastructure costs, and mentor engineers while partnering with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience designing and operating production-grade data platforms.
- Strong expertise in distributed data systems, high-volume event-driven architectures, lakehouse architectures, and Apache Iceberg.
- Advanced SQL and production experience with Python, Java, Scala, or similar languages.
- Experience with Spark, Flink, or Trino; AWS cloud infrastructure; CI/CD; Infrastructure as Code; and production observability.
- Experience with data modeling, partitioning, performance optimization, batch and near-real-time pipelines, data contracts, schema evolution, and data quality frameworks.
- Upper-Intermediate or higher English level, with strong communication and technical leadership skills.
Nice to have
- Experience in AdTech or other high-volume event-processing domains.
- Experience designing multi-tenant SaaS data architectures.
- Familiarity with semantic layer technologies.
- Experience supporting analytics and ML/AI workloads.
- Understanding of privacy regulations and data residency requirements.
