Analytics Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Build the semantic layer powering Finance's financial reporting to ensure a consistent source of truth for business metrics.
• Develop the analytics layer for Marketing & Growth enabling self-service reporting on acquisition, funnels, and campaign performance.
• Define and scale analytics engineering practices and technical standards across the team.
• Build and maintain dbt models with tests, documentation, and reusable macros.
• Design scalable data models in Databricks silver and gold layers using dimensional modeling.
• Support other analysts by optimizing data models for performance and reliability.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, or Uzbekistan
• Strong SQL expertise including complex queries and query optimization on large datasets.
• Hands-on experience with dbt including models, macros, tests, documentation, and CI workflows.
• Strong dimensional modeling experience (3NF/Inmon, star schema, or anchor modeling).
• Experience building semantic layers or maintaining a single source of truth for business metrics.
• Comfortable working in Git-based ELT workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience in banking or fintech, especially data modeling for financial products.
