ETA Senior Engineer - Cleaning & Sterilization Lead (Biotech)

Location: Holly Springs, North Carolina, United States; onsite role with up to 30% travel.

Salary: $115,494.60–$156,257.40 annually

What you will do

• Lead CIP and SIP engineering for the hirify.global North Carolina 2 drug substance facility project.
• Support the design, construction, commissioning, and start-up of three CIP skids, cleaning circuits, plant-wide SIP operations, caustic cleaning systems, glass wash, and autoclave systems.
• Provide technical direction, troubleshooting, remediation, and continuous improvement support across the global manufacturing and development network.
• Develop and maintain engineering standards, specifications, maintenance standards, and equipment selection strategies.
• Review performance data, develop project business cases, investigate new technologies, and advance digitalization for cleaning system optimization.
• Collaborate with project design teams, operations partners, and external consultants on capital projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED with 10 years of engineering experience, associate degree with 8 years, bachelor’s degree with 4 years, master’s degree with 2 years, or doctorate degree.
• Engineering experience in cleaning and sterilization systems, including CIP, SIP, caustic cleaning, or related technologies.
• Ability to support design, construction, commissioning, start-up, and operational troubleshooting.
• Experience in regulated, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or electronics environments is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional Engineer registration or equivalent, or progress toward registration, is preferred.
