Manager, Data Engineering (AI)

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of data engineers.
• Own data domains and integrations across the ingestion and transformation engine.
• Drive the architecture, design, implementation, maintenance, and scaling of streaming and batch data pipelines.
• Improve data quality, system stability, observability, performance, latency, and reliability.
• Promote AI-first development practices, including the use of LLMs, agentic workflows, and AI-assisted coding tools.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, support, and business teams to deliver data products.

Requirements

• Experience managing engineering teams and developing engineers’ technical and professional growth.
• Strong hands-on experience with ETL/ELT, batch and streaming pipelines, complex data transformations, and data modelling.
• Professional proficiency in Python for large-scale data processing and pipeline development.
• Strong knowledge of data cloud technologies, streaming systems such as Google Cloud Pub/Sub or Kafka, and cloud databases such as BigQuery, Spanner, Snowflake, or Databricks.
• Experience with technical architecture, planning, estimation, delivery, and stakeholder management.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience building integrations with third-party APIs and external data sources.
• Experience in hospitality technology or a similar industry, such as airlines.
