Automotive Technician

Location: Carol Stream, Illinois, United States; onsite automotive service role.

Salary: $19.25–$28.93 per hour through a performance-based flat-rate compensation model. First-time hires may receive a $1,500 sign-on bonus.

What you will do

• Perform oil changes and scheduled vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems.
• Install batteries and check electrical systems.
• Perform tire maintenance and repairs, install parts, and road-test vehicles.
• Explain repair procedures to customers and provide service support.
• Obtain or maintain at least one A.S.E. certification from A1–A8 within the first two years.

Requirements

• Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks and perform general automotive maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of oil changes, vehicle inspections, and tire repair.
• Valid automobile driver's license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Must complete U.S. Form I-9 employment eligibility verification; temporary work authorization or the need for sponsorship may disqualify applicants.

Nice to have

• Two years of automotive repair experience.
• Completion of a related vocational-technical program or equivalent demonstrated skills.
• A.S.E. certification or equivalent training credentials.
