Automotive Technician (Automotive)

Location: Bellaire and 121, United States; onsite automotive service work

Pay range: $17.50–$26.30 per hour, with performance-based flat-rate compensation. Sign-on bonus: $1,500 for first-time hires.

What you will do

• Change oil and perform scheduled vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems.
• Perform tire maintenance and install automotive parts and batteries.
• Check electrical systems and road test vehicles.
• Assist with vehicle assessments, repair procedures, and customer explanations of services.
• Obtain or maintain at least one A.S.E. A1–A8 certification within the first two years.

Requirements

• Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks and perform general automotive maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of oil changes, vehicle inspections, and tire repair.
• Valid automobile driver's license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Reading, writing, and math skills.
• Employment requires completion of Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; temporary work authorization or sponsorship needs may disqualify applicants.

Nice to have

• Two years of automotive repair experience.
• Completion of a related vocational-technical program.
• A.S.E. certification or equivalent external training and qualifications.
