Senior Backend JavaScript Developer (Node.js)

Location: Fully remote for candidates who are not from Israel

What you will do

• Own end-to-end feature development from design and implementation through production rollout and ongoing improvements.
• Build and operate scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend services in a microservices environment.
• Participate in system design, architecture planning, and technical decision-making.
• Develop and maintain asynchronous, message-driven components using Redis Streams, including debugging and performance tuning.
• Write maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with teammates and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver product outcomes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years focused on backend JavaScript and Node.js development.
• Experience building and maintaining SaaS applications or production backend services.
• Experience with microservices architecture, service boundaries, APIs, and reliability patterns.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB and Redis, including Redis Streams or similar stream-processing systems.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized deployments, plus system design fundamentals covering data modeling, performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Proficiency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake, data pipelines, and analytics.
• Experience with AWS and cloud-based production environments.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and additional NoSQL technologies.
• Experience with observability tooling and incident response.
