Fielded Force Analyst (Space Defense)

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado; on site

Salary: $140,000–$170,000 annually for Colorado

What you will do

• Translate complex astrodynamics, engineering, modeling, and military analysis into operational insights.
• Synthesize technical studies and integration projects to identify gaps between the fielded and programmed forces.
• Assess gaps across USSF mission areas including SDA, PNT, SATCOM, command and control, missile warning and tracking, electronic warfare, cyber, and satellite control.
• Collaborate with HQ CFC, SWAC/SSDP, SSIO, HQ USSF S9, mission partners, and international allies to obtain and integrate analysis.
• Prepare concise briefing slides, decision memos, and BLUF recommendations for senior USSF leaders.

Requirements

• Master of Science degree in operations research, data science, or a related technical field.
• 6–10 years of relevant experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Strong emotional intelligence, maturity, active listening, consensus-building, and collaboration skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Experience digesting large volumes of scientific or military studies and distilling them into actionable recommendations.

Nice to have

• Experience with Warp Core or Envision platforms.
• Experience with Python.
• Ability to translate specialist astrodynamics analysis into executive-level summaries.
• Experience navigating ambiguous, unstructured analytical environments and working with joint, coalition, or commercial partners.
